However, Lohan's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, with whom she was meant to be travelling, was on the eastbound flight, along with George Clooney.
While she missed the 1pm plane, the 25-year-old apparently planned to take another one later in the day.
Lohan recently angered the cast of Fox's Glee after she apparently turned up late to begin filming her guest appearance for the show.
However, her publicist later insisted that the reports were untrue and that Lohan's call time started later in the afternoon.
