The Houston family inked a deal with the Lifetime network for a series called The Houston Family Chronicles.
The show will feature the late singer's sister-in-law and manager Pat Houston, Pat's daughter Rayah, Cissy Houston, and Whitney's brother Gary Houston.
Sources close to the family told TMZ that Cissy agreed to the ten-episode run because she hopes it will introduce the world to Bobbi Kristina Brown's musical talent.
Bobbi Kristina tweeted in March that she had met with executives about a reality show, though the reports were later denied as "false".
The insiders added that Cissy believes the show will "help with the healing process" in the wake of her daughter's passing by "keeping the family as one".
Producers said that the programme, which will premiere on the Lifetime Network next year, will have a more serious tone than other reality TV offerings and deal primarily with the family coping after Whitney's death.
