The ex-wife of golf professional Tiger Woods apparently ended her relationship with the businessman in January this year, although the news has only just emerged.
A source told People: "She says Jamie's a great guy – and they're still friends - but I think it was just too early [after the divorce] for her to get serious with anyone."
The insider added there is no truth to reports this week that the pair - who were first linked last summer - enjoyed Saturday's playoff hockey game between the New York Rangers and the Washington Capitals together.
Claiming that Nordegren was not even at the game in question, the friend added: "Elin finds it hilarious to read news about her that people make up."
Nordegren lives with Sam and Charlie - her two children with Woods - in the North Palm Beach area of Florida. She is currently studying part-time for a psychology degree.
Woods and Nordegren announced their separation in August 2010, after it was reported that he had allegedly carried on a number of affairs behind her back.
