The Public Enemy star owes Angie Parker, mother of three of his seven children, $111,186 (£71,000) in back child support payments, according to the New York Daily News.
Flav, whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr, did not appear during a mandatory hearing this week in Albany, New York. A magistrate suggested that the rapper's driver's licence and passport be confiscated.
This marks one of several instances where the 53-year-old has failed to keep up with support payments.
In 2010, Parker took Flav to court for failing to pay $63,458 (£40,000).
The reality TV star recently admitted that he once spent millions of dollars on drugs.
He is due back in court on June 19.
