will.i.am loses 'Back to the Future' car after traffic stop

will.i.am has temporarily lost his customised DeLorean after a traffic stop in LA last week.

According to TMZ, the 'Where is the Love' singer was pulled over for having no license plates on the vehicle.

Police found that the Black Eyed Peas star did not have proper license registration, and promptly impounded the car.

will.i,am, who was reportedly co-operative throughout the incident, received citations for both the missing plates and missing registration.

His DeLorean will be held until his paperwork is properly handled.

The 37-year-old appeared as a judge on the first season of the UK version of The Voice, which recently crowned winner Leanne Mitchell.
