According to TMZ, a man named Aubrey Davis who goes by the stage name DJ Mixx has filed a federal lawsuit this week, claiming that Usher stole his 2008 composition 'Let's Go'.
Davis claims that he tried to find songwriters to add lyrics to his music, but no deals came through.
However, he now believes that one of the people to whom he shopped the song passed it on to Usher, where it ended up on his album Raymond v. Raymond as the song 'Hey Daddy', and copyrighted to the singer.
The lawsuit is demanding an unspecified amount in damages, as well as an order for Usher to never use the song again.
The 'Confessions' singer has yet to comment on the suit. He is currently coping with a recent jet ski accident, which has reportedly left his stepson with Tameka Raymond brain-dead.
