Chris Brown denies new tattoo is of beaten Rihanna - picture

Chris Brown has been forced to deny suggestions that his latest tattoo depicts ex-girlfriend Rihanna, with whom he split in 2009 after assaulting her, sporting a number of facial injuries.

A photo of Brown apparently dating back to September 1 has been circulating online today (September 11) after it was suggested by TMZ that an inking on his neck shows a woman resembling the 'Talk That Talk' singer with bruises.



Brown was sentenced to 180 days of community labour and a mandatory anger management class for the assault on Rihanna, which occurred on the night of the 2009 Grammy Awards.

Responding to the speculation, a representative for the R&B star has stated that the tattoo's perceived resemblance to Rihanna is purely coincidental.















"It's a random woman," they are quoted as saying.

The former couple caused a stir when they were photographed kissing at the MTV VMAs last Thursday (September 6) - five days after the pertinent photo of his tattoo is believed to have been taken.

Rihanna recently told Oprah Winfrey that she and Brown "still love each other".
