Simon Cowell is still my friend, says biography writer Tom Bower

Simon Cowell's unauthorised biographer Tom Bower has claimed that he is still close to the music mogul.

The Intimate Life Of Simon Cowell writer, who revealed the X Factor star's affair with fellow judge Dannii Minogue as well as other secrets, was interviewed on today's This Morning by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.



The 65-year-old alleged that he spoke to Cowell "only last night", quoting the Syco boss as saying he found the book to be "embarrassing".

However, Bower added: "Finally, he said to me last night that we remain friends."

Bower's book, the details of which were disclosed over a week ago, provoked an angry reaction from Sharon Osbourne.

Cheryl Cole, who Cowell is supposedly "mesmerised" by, is apparently planning to release a tell-all autobiography in which she will discuss her ex-boss.
