The 34-year-old Australian actor, who accepted a role as Captain Troy Miller on Neighbours earlier this year, allegedly started a fight with security guards at Melbourne's Crown Casino after being refused entry to the Nine Network's after-party.
The Herald Sun states that Brummer was restrained after an angry outburst and police were called to the scene.
A Victoria Police spokesperson has confirmed that a 34-year-old male has been charged with intentionally causing injury, unlawful assault, behaving in a riotous manner, recklessly causing injury and being drunk in a public place.
It is believed that Brummer will appear before Melbourne Magistrates Court on August 29.
Brummer starred in Underbelly: The Golden Mile, which won the award for 'Most Outstanding Drama Series, Miniseries Or Telemovie' at the Logies on Sunday night. Karl Stefanovic was awarded the 'Gold Logie', while Packed to the Rafters was named 'Most Popular Drama'.
