The actor, who is an active supporter of animal rights group PETA, told the Hindustan Times that she uses her profile to raise awareness on issues that are important to her.
"A lot of the work I do now is just to make room to highlight the issues that matter," she said. "And I think I've been able to create something meaningful out of a kinda meaningless career, really, you know?"
Anderson also revealed her love of Hindi film music, which she had earlier danced to in the Bigg Boss house.
"Songs here are really long, but catchy. They stay in your head," said the former Baywatch star.
This season of the Salman Khan-fronted programme has generated widespread controversy in India over the adult nature of the show.
