The Anger Management star reflected on his firing from Two and a Half Men and bizarre media blitz while speaking to USA Today.
"It was like a weird dream I couldn't wake up from. You know, when you're at one of those water parks, and you're in an inner tube, and you get that final wave that sends you toward that final deal," Sheen explained, adding: "I couldn't get away from that moment."
Sheen also stepped back on his attacks on Two and a Half Men co-creator Chuck Lorre, who he branded as a "turd" and a "clown" at the height of the media firestorm last year.
"I'm grateful for the arena he created originally for me to shine in, and regardless of how much input I had or what restrictions were on my performance, the guy created a scenario that led to a dream life," the star said.
It was reported on Monday (June 25) that Sheen will select his 24 favourite Two and a Half Men episodes for a marathon to air on FX.
Sheen's new series Anger Management premieres on FX on June 28 at 9/8c.
