Zak is sectioned

With Zak being cared for, Debbie and Lisa attempt to find out more from Cain about what happened up on the moors. When Cain is evasive, Debbie thinks he's hiding something. As Cain leaves, Debbie is angry and confused until Lisa is forced to confess that it was Zak who attacked Cain before Christmas. Debbie finds it hard to take in as Lisa attempts to explain Zak's reasons.

Later at the hospital, the family hear that Zak could be a danger to himself and he has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Devastated and refusing to believe this is the answer, Lisa makes it clear to the family that she wants them to keep it quiet from the villagers. Back at home, Debbie tells Cain that she knows it was Zak who attacked him. Debbie suggests that Cain is the reason for Zak's condition, and he's left to wonder whether this is true.

Meanwhile, Gabby is nervous about spending time with Ashley. When Ashley takes the kids to the café, Arthur spills a drink and Gabby rushes to mop it up, frightened that their father will see and shout at them. Ashley is devastated to see fear in his daughter's face. Later, Laurel tries to reassure Ashley, saying that Gabby just needs time.

Elsewhere, Jimmy is pleased that Nicola is making an effort with Elliot, while Holly and David are thrilled to arrange a date - but Rachel is put out.
