If you haven't done so already, read the main interview to see what Justin had to say about exits, new arrivals, Luc and Eddi's future and more.
Here, though, Soap Scoop presents some extra character teasers from Justin…
With a wedding on the way, have Sacha and Chrissie had their happy ending?
"These two characters have come such a long way, but I don't know if anyone 100% trusts deep down that they're going to make each other happy, or even that they really do love each other. I say that as the guy who wrote their happy ending last Christmas! I think Sacha has got Chrissie on a pedestal, while she's at a stage of her life where security is very important to her. Whether that's going to give her a happy ending, I don't know.
"They're engaged at the moment, so presumably that means we'll have a wedding sometime soon. But can we really imagine Chrissie being happy ever after as Mrs Sacha Levy? I really hope so and I want to believe in it, but I have some pretty serious doubts about whether they're meant to be together forever…"
Can you tease the future of the Tara and Ollie story?
"Obviously the brain tumour that Tara has isn't going to go away, so this is a story about her trying to outrun this ticking time bomb in her head. She's a girl who's very ambitious and very impatient because time is not on her side, and against her better judgement she's starting to fall for the hospital's most handsome doctor.
"The question is what means most for Tara. Is it achieving her medical ambitions while she can, or is it finding possible love and happiness with Ollie? And of course, at what point should she tell Ollie that she has a possibly inoperable brain tumour?
"There's always that potential that things could go catastrophically wrong if Ollie finds out Tara's secret. The other thing about Ollie is that he only lost his sister two years ago, and he's really not ready to put himself in that position emotionally again."
Viewers seem to be really liking Chantelle. Is she a character who you'd like to keep around, and could she ever find love?
"I absolutely love Chantelle. The character was originally intended to be a lot more shallow and dim, but Lauren Drummond has such an integrity and intelligence in her performance, so I think Chantelle has evolved into quite a wise, albeit naïve, character! I loved the episode recently where she stood up for the rights of the mother - it was a really moving episode and it showed that there's a really intelligent woman in there.
"Chantelle is such a brilliant nurse and she has great potential, but the question is whether she can realise that potential. She's still an agency nurse for the moment, so I'd love to see her become a full-time member of staff because that's been her dream for a while. I'd love to see her continue to be challenged, and have those moments where she grows up - although not too fast, because we don't want to lose the things about the character that people love.
"I can certainly see her finding love before too long. But I think Chantelle might not look for love in the right places…"
What's coming up for Jac? Will there be any more scenes and storylines where her 'ice queen' façade starts to melt?
"There's some really good stuff coming up for Jac. Heading towards the end of the series, she's going to find herself growing really frustrated with certain elements of Hanssen's leadership. She's also going to really struggle with her eternal battle between self-preservation and the decency which is in her deep down.
"In terms of peeking behind the ice queen façade, I think we manage to do that quite often. We had the stuff with baby Freya last Christmas, and we had the episode a few weeks ago with Mo giving birth. But I think we have to be careful not to overdo it, as we love Jac because she's so glacial and so cutting.
"The genius of Rosie Marcel is that even when Jac is behaving atrociously, you still get a sense of this really layered and complex character underneath it all. We'll continue trying to find a balance with that character - she's never just a one-dimensional bitch. The Tara dynamic is really fun and heading towards Christmas, I think there'll be a couple of episodes that people will really enjoy and we'll get to see that human side again."
How about Malick?
"Malick is really ambitious. He's quite impressed by Serena's approach, but at the same time, there's a part of him that hero-worships Ric. So he'll continue to feel a bit conflicted between those two. We're also going to revisit the fact that Malick is the clinical skills lead. In theory, Malick is the mentor to the young medical students, which he's not always very good at because he's very impatient! So there are some hilarious scenes coming up where Malick is trying to be a good mentor.
"Longer-term, and looking ahead even to the next series, I'm just reading scripts now which really tell us about Malick's personal life. That's really exciting, because the audience haven't really seen it before. We'll continue to open up who Malick is and reveal a little bit more about him as we go."
Could Michael Spence ever get a new love interest?
"I think Michael's at his most fun when he's chasing after the wrong woman! I really enjoyed watching him coming up against the bunny boiler Lulu, and misreading the signals with Alex.
"I don't think he's totally over his ex, Annalise. He's still dealing with the fact that he only speaks to his children over Skype and that Annalise is in America. But I certainly would like to see him directing his legendary charm at someone again! It probably won't be before Christmas, but I think there is hope on the horizon for Michael."
Finally, are there any firm plans to reveal more about Hanssen's past and personal life?
"I've always said that I don't want to give too much away about Hanssen, because I think the mystery around him is what people love.
"At the same time, we've known him now for nearly two years and I think the time has come to learn a bit more about him. I'm currently writing a big episode for Hanssen which will air in early 2013, and it's finally going to tell everyone about where he's come from and who he really is. I hope everyone will really enjoy that."
