Finnish firm Rovio has just released an update, called 'Fry Me To The Moon', bringing ten more levels to the game that has racked up millions of downloads since its launch in March.
The update also reveals a teaser image for the next level, which appears very similar to Homer Simpson's favourite doughnut snack on the animated series.
In a statement to TechCrunch, Rovio said that the company "doesn't comment on rumors or speculation".
The Angry Birds have already appeared in The Simpsons on several occasions, while TechCrunch notes that Rovio has an existing relationship with Fox, the show's producer.
Last year, 20th Century Fox and Rovio teamed up for Angry Birds Rio, a game tie-in for the Rio animated movie.
It is possible that The Simpsons characters, such as Homer and Bart, will feature in a special Angry Birds Space level in the coming weeks.
However, Rovio chief executive Peter Vesterbacka has previously promised that four new Angry Birds games will be released in 2012, and so a full blown Angry Birds Simpsons game could also be on the cards for the future.
