Kyle Bornheimer has reportedly joined Fox's pilot Council Of Dads.

The comedy examines what happens when a terminally ill man called Michael sets up a council of fathers to help raise his children after he dies.

Deadline says that Bornheimer has now signed up to play the "fun" dad on the council.

His character, one of Michael's childhood friends, has been described as extroverted and funny. However, he can sometimes be inappropriate.

The news suggests that the future of Bornheimer's current show Perfect Couples is in doubt, although his role in Council Of Dads is in second position.

Bornheimer previously starred in Romantically Challenged and Worst Week and has appeared in shows including Royal Pains, Chuck, Better Off Ted and Breaking Bad.
