'Scrubs' Donald Faison: 'Cougar Town cameo would be fun'

Donald Faison has said that it would be "fun" to guest star in Cougar Town.

Faison previously worked with Cougar Town's executive producer Bill Lawrence on Scrubs.

Meanwhile, Cougar Town has featured a number of cameos from Scrubs stars such as Ken Jenkins, who appears in the show as the father of Jules (Courteney Cox).

Faison told TV Line: "[A guest appearance] would be fun.

"I'm sure if there ever comes a time they're looking for a handsome, young, African-American man, they'd go to me and not Jaleel White or Taye Diggs or Donald Glover... I would hope!"

Faison's former Scrubs co-stars Zach Braff, Robert Maschio and Sarah Chalke have all signed up for appearances in Cougar Town.

The show airs on ABC, but a premiere date for the third season has not yet been set.
