Wilson, who wrote the CBS pilot, will co-star with the Saturday Night Live alumna, reports Deadline.
Wilson and Slate will play two of the three nerdy friends who are in a "'funcomfortable' quest to have super fun every Friday night".
Slate's Helen-Alice character is described as the "super-smart best friend and roommate" of Wilson's Kimmie. Helen-Alice's idea of Friday night fun involves staying in to eat pizza and watch "dorky movies".
Super Fun Night is produced by Warner Bros TV and Conan O'Brien's Conaco.
After her stint on SNL, Slate was in This Means War and voiced a character in Dr. Seuss's The Lorax.
Wilson garnered buzz for her other roommate portrayal in last year's Bridesmaids. She can be seen next in Bachelorette opposite Isla Fisher, Kirsten Dunst and Lizzy Caplan.
