'Betty White's Off Their Rockers', NBC collapse on Wednesday night

Betty White's Off Their Rockers plummeted in viewers last night (Wednesday), setting the tone for a miserable evening for NBC.

The 90-year-old entertainer appealed to 6.2m (1.6) in the 8pm hour, down over a million week-on-week and 6m on its January pilot.

Best Friends Forever followed at 8.30pm with a dismal 2.9m (0.9), before Rock Centre with Brian Williams logged 2.8m (0.6). The audience rose to 5.4m (1.6) at 10pm for Law & Order: SVU.

Don't Trust The B---- In Apartment 23 premiered with a respectable 7m (2.9) for ABC in the 9pm hour, following a lead-in from The Middle (7m/2.1) and Suburgatory (6.1m/2.1).

Modern Family, also returning after a hiatus, anchored ABC's schedule with 10.3m (4.1) at 9pm.

American Idol topped the night for Fox with 16.4m (4.9) over two hours, while The CW's America's Next Top Model had 1m (0.5) at 9pm.

On CBS, Survivor (9.6m/2.6) slumped to an all-time low at 8pm, Criminal Minds held a steady 11.2m (3.0) at 9pm, and CSI scored a slot-winning 9.8m (2.3) at 10pm.
