Eli Manning has said he's looking forward to hosting this weekend's Saturday Night Live.

The New York Giants quarterback told reporters on Thursday (May 3) that he is excited to mock his clean-cut image on the sketch comedy series.

"I'll let the writers and cast members do their job and create something funny. I just kind of went in open-minded," Manning commented, reports Us Weekly.

"I don't mind making fun of myself. I don't mind doing different characters and doing something obviously I've never done before."

Manning also hinted that he may even appear in a sketch with musical guest Rihanna, who will be performing a pair of songs from her current album Talk That Talk.

"There are some things that have been written with her possibly in it. We just gotta see if she'll go for it or not," the Super Bowl champion disclosed.

Manning previously made a cameo appearance on SNL in 2008 when his brother Peyton Manning hosted.

Saturday Night Live airs at 11.30/10.30c on NBC.
