The project follows an estranged family who come together having never met before. Gordon will direct the pilot and will executive produce with Micallef, Josh McGuire, Jamie Tarses (Happy Endings) and Trevor Engelson (Remember Me).
Gordon's last TV series Breaking In starred Christian Slater as a former thief and con-man turned security expert. The show was originally cancelled by Fox following a single season, but was revived for a second run before ultimately being axed once again.
Other pilots in development at Fox for the 2013-14 television season include a new comedy from Cougar Town co-creator Kevin Biegel, a futuristic cop drama from Fringe exec JJ Abrams and Joel Wyman and sci-fi thriller Para Time from Life on Mars co-creator Matthew Graham.
