Devon Sawa joins 'Nikita' as series regular

Devon Sawa has signed on to join the cast of Nikita as a series regular.

The Final Destination actor plays the recurring role of Owen Elliot on the spy thriller, which stars Maggie Q.



According to TV Line, Sawa will make his return on Season 3 of the CW programme this fall.

"We are very happy about the return of Owen, and looking forward to the excitement he will bring to an already exciting cast," Nikita showrunner Craig Silverstein said of the new addition.

Sawa revealed earlier this year that he was keen on a series regular role on Nikita, saying that he has "so much fun" working on the show.

Season three of Nikita premieres on the CW on Friday, October 19 at 9pm in the US.
