'X Factor' USA poll: What did you think of the premiere?

After months of hype and speculation, Simon Cowell's X Factor finally launched on US shores last night with a two-hour show featuring everything from one of the best auditions Simon had ever seen to a man who was branded "offensive, upsetting and disgusting" after he dropped his pants mid-performance.



Simon was joined on the judging panel by old American Idol sparring partner Paula Abdul, record exec LA Reid, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and, very briefly, his former X Factor UK colleague Cheryl Cole, as they began their search for the person or group who will walk away with a record-breaking $5 million recording contract.
