Jessie J appeared on the Thursday night results show to perform her track 'Domino', while Smith also gave a performance of her own song 'Fireball'.
When asked by the official website if she would like to work with Smith in the future, Jessie J replied: "I would collaborate right now! I think she's amazing."
British singer Jessie J went on to reveal that Smith, the daughter of Will and Jada Smith, had written her a note and drawn her a picture before her X Factor performance to help ease her nerves.
"I don't think she realises how much those kind of things are so inspiring," she said. "She is so young and just going for her dreams. She said I inspire her and I was like, 'You just made me realise how much I want to enjoy this and how important it is to take every moment'.
"She's an amazing young person and I'd love to collaborate with her. I think we could whip our hair until the sun comes up!"
Jessie J also told the website that she felt honoured to be performing on The X Factor, adding: "It's always something you want to be a part of... I'm always in support of bringing new talent through."
Stereo Hogzz became the latest act to leave The X Factor on Thursday night when they fell into the bottom two alongside fellow group Lakoda Rayne.
It marked the second week in a row that mentor Paula Abdul lost an act through the public vote, following the departure of inTENsity last week.
