The singer performed 'Grenade' by Bruno Mars on Monday night (February 13), encouraging Cee Lo Green and Levine to press their buttons and turn around.
Cauley jokingly said he wanted to see Levine and Cee Lo arm wrestle before he made his decision, later revealing that he had picked Levine.
Speaking to social media correspondent Christina Milian after the audition, he said: "I first realised I was nervous in my first falsetto because, let's be honest, it was bad! I apologise, America!
"I picked Adam because he'll help me relax and I really want to have some fun while we're out here and not just sing, sing, sing, peace out, see you later. I want to have some fun."

Cauley also revealed that he got married just five weeks before his blind audition, saying that he'd only spent two of those weeks with his wife, who was watching his audition from backstage.
"I flew here straight from my honeymoon in Hawaii," he added. "She was more nervous than I was!"
The Voice airs Mondays at 8/7c on NBC.
