The Dreamgirls actress will appear in at least one episode of the show's second season, reports Fancast.
However, a CBS representative refused to reveal any details about the character she will be playing.
Rose previously appeared in The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency and voiced Disney's first black princess in animated film The Princess and the Frog.
The episode will also star Bobby Steggert as a college student whose father becomes a suspect in a series of sniper attacks.
The Good Wife returns to CBS on September 28.
