Speaking at the Television Critics Association (TCA) summer press tour, Danes confirmed reports that her pregnancy will not be written into the show.

Danes said: "I think we were a little concerned, but it's proven to be a non-issue. All is well, and Carrie remains fervently non-pregnant."
She also explained that Carrie will start the season "suffering from a real crisis of confidence", adding: "She gets her mojo back, but it takes some time. I think she's a little less paranoid, a little less high-strung."

Danes's co-star Damian Lewis said that Carrie "very much has an upper hand" over his character Nicholas Brody.
"It's less romantically inclined than professionally inclined," he added.
Homeland's second season will premiere on Sunday, September 30 on Showtime.
