'Fashion Star' - Meet designers Kara Laricks, Lisa Vian Hunter: video

We brought you introductions to Fashion Star hopefuls Barbara Bates and Edmond Newton yesterday, and now it's time to meet another two designers hoping to win the multi-million dollar prize to launch their collections in three of America's largest retailers: Macy's, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Kara Laricks used to be a fourth grade teacher before taking a leap of faith and pursuing her fashion dreams. The Manhattan resident sells her designs at a Saturday market in Soho, and thinks it's sexy when a woman can take masculine-inspired clothing and make it her own.

Lisa Vian Hunter is a mother of two who graduated fashion school when she was 40 years old and hopes to provide women with "gorgeous, affordable clothing made in the USA". The 46-year-old says that she is inspired by vintage and hopes to expand her boutique Vian Hunter House of Fashion.
