The show centres on a world with no power, as society struggles to adapt following a mysterious event. So when Digital Spy hit Comic-Con in San Diego earlier this year, we grabbed some time with the show's stars and Kripke to find out more.
Watch Eric Kripke, Giancarlo Esposito, Billy Burke, Tracy Spiridakos and JD Pardo talking about Revolution below:
Kripke described the series as "character driven", adding that he's trying to "learn from the mistakes of a lot of genre shows that have come before".
He also revealed that it became easier to write for a world without cell phones, and suggested that there is plenty of room for future seasons, saying: "It's a world... There's an endless amount of story as long as they can keep travelling around it."
Burke claimed that it is an "Americana show" - "kind of a road movie" - while Esposito said that he is "really happy" to be a part of the show.
Revolution premieres on Monday (September 17) on NBC.
