Well, if Laura has her way they will! She's not getting on well with Eboni ("Seymone deserved to stay," she explains in confessional.) Eventually, Alisha asks Laura if she likes Eboni, and she doesn't hold back: "No, not really." Ouch! Laura goes on to explain that Eboni can "seem so vain", describing it as "sickening" and complaining about the way she carries herself and talks down to people. Annaliese seems to agree - "Eboni's always a little bit vain."
But let's forget about all that because there's a visitor - it's Nigel! He brings the models Chinese food and gives them advice - then it's time for a bit of fortune cookie fun. The best, of course, is saved for last: Nigel opens his cookie to reveal: "Your fortune awaits you in Macau!" Unsurprisingly, news of their trip sparks a lot of screaming from the models, but they have to get packing!
Even after a 15-hour flight the models are excited enough about Macau for lots of gasps as they drive around and a lot of squealing when they see their new home at the "swanky" MGM Macau Hotel (there's also time for a lot of the models to speak about how they want to prove themselves and make their families proud).
But it's not all harmonious - Alisha is not happy when Sophie takes some of her shoes and a dress out of her suitcase and leaves them on the other side of the room. There's no screaming match but a lot of awkward, barely suppressed anger! "She just went on and on and on," Sophie complains. And Annaliese accuses Alisha of "getting on her high horse" sometimes.
Auras and Readings
But there's still a competition to deal with and it's time for the models' challenge! They go to a Monastery where they meet J Alexander and astrologer Clement Chan, who gives each model a reading to find out what element they are and what's missing. Alisha becomes emotional when Clement says that he can tell she's close with her mum ("How did you know that?" she gasps.) Eboni's another model who gets upset as she speaks with Clement about her past.
After the readings, J announces that all the models will have to put together a new outfit (complete with make-up, accessories and clothes) within ten minutes, using the advice given to them by Clement. At the end, the winner will get a spa treatment at the hotel for her and one of her teammates!
The clock starts ticking and everyone rushes to get ready, though Catherine struggles to get her outfit together ("This is just poo"). Then it's time for Clement to judge and while he is impressed with all of the models (though he questions whether Catherine's green lipstick was an entirely good idea), he eventually picks Laura as the winner ("I sense some changes in your energy"). She's thrilled! But as the only other US model still in the competition is Eboni, they have to share the spa treatment together. It's a little awkward...
After receiving a Tyra Mail warning the models they'll be meeting some "smooth operators", the women meet Jay Manuel and discover that they're going to be wearing Barney Cheng silk gowns! But it's not all glamor - they'll also be modelling with silk worms. Unsurprisingly, this prompts a lot of disgusted noises and faces! But Jay tells them all that he'll be looking for a lot of emotion in their faces in this shoot.
Annaliese is first up, and though Jay's worried her emotion is "not genuine" she pulls it together for the end of the shoot: "Oh my God, you look like a statuette!" Jay announces. But Laura (who admits that she used to keep giant centipedes as pets) is even more impressive, channeling her memories of "good sex" to make her look powerful. "Genius," Jay declares (though Alisha thinks Laura's too sexual).
Meanwhile, Eboni is desperate to redeem herself after being in the bottom two, but Jay's not impressed with her work this week, describing it as "middle of the road". Sophie does better, with Jay describing her as "beautiful", but Catherine struggles with the emotion. And when Jay tells her to put herself in a real situation, she thinks of someone dying - and ends up crying! So she's definitely got the emotion, but it's not working for Jay - "her poses are so wooden and stiff".
Last up is Alisha, who's focused on being on her A game "so all the girls can be afraid" of her. But Jay complains that her modelling is "a little too posey" and admits later that he's not sure Alisha is going to survive this week... Well, it's almost time to find out if he's right!
Tyra Banks welcomes everyone to panel - and introduces guest judge, designer Barney Cheng - and then it's time to get the judging under way! She starts with the American models...
The judges praise Laura's home-ripped tights, but that's nothing compared to her photo, which floors them. Nigel describes it as "stunning", "unbelievable" and "beautiful", congratulating Laura on the look in her eyes. Tyra suggests that it looks as if Laura was caught in a moment rather than posing, while Kelly calls it the "most amazing shot": "I don't even notice you have silk worms on you!" Barney's also impressed, saying it's very Chinese in its similarity to the Beijing Opera - "the tension between hard and soft - you caught it perfectly". He adds that the shot is "absolutely stunning".
Kelly says this is Eboni's "best fashion shot", comparing it to a World War II postcard. But while Nigel likes Eboni's body language, he doesn't get much emotion from the shot. And Tyra has two problems - Eboni has "no neck" in the photo, and she's not impressed with her waist. She advises Eboni to find her lines and angles in the future.
Time to speak with the UK models, and Catherine's up first! It's bad news, though - Kelly says Catherine is so much better than this, while Barney admits that he was surprised as she just "froze" on set... and then "started bawling". Kelly says the shot looks like Catherine is offering tea, while Nigel advises her to reference a broken heart instead of a death. "Tragedy like that is not an easy sell in the advertising world," he points out.
Barney likes the top half of Alisha's photo - calling it "very, very stunning" - but complains that the dress does not look good. Kelly agrees that the shot is not selling the dress, while Tyra reminds Alisha that modelling is not about showing off yourself, but about selling a product.
Barney loves the shot, and so does Nigel, saying that it has the "perfect amount of neck" and praising the positioning of Annaliese's hands on her hip and face. Tyra's impressed that Annaliese can do high fashion as well as commercial modelling.
Nigel admits that the shot "doesn't really work" for him, saying that the look in Sophie's eyes is "a little extreme", or just not the right look to sell a dress. Tyra points out that the dress looks amazing... but that's not really thanks to Sophie. She suggests it needs something "a little odd, a little quirky" and Sophie looks more like an actress than a model.
The judges deliberate
The judges begin their discussions and continue raving about Laura. On the other hand, they're not sure whether Eboni is really good or whether they're just trying to push her along and hope that she'll get there.
They agree that they don't like Catherine's shot (and Kelly points out that she doesn't have a good walk), though Tyra thinks about her previous music video and suggests that there is "something special and magical" about her. There's bad news for Alisha, too, as Barney comments that she made his dress look "horrible" - oh no!
Meanwhile, Kelly and Nigel have a little disagreement over Annaliese - Kelly doesn't think she's a model, while Nigel says she's improving every week. Barney certainly likes the shot - Annaliese made the dress look "absolutely stunning" - but Tyra questions whether it's a good photo for Annaliese, or a good photo for a model period? As for Sophie, they agree that it's lacking something - Nigel's calls the pose "average", while Barney says the model could be anyone.
Who's Going Home?
Time for the models to meet their fate! Unsurprisingly, Laura takes home the best photo and first call-out. She's followed by Annaliese, Sophie and... Eboni! That means we're definitely saying goodbye to a Brit - either Catherine or Alisha.
Tyra tells Alisha that she "made a dress that was amazing look less than it is on a hanger". As for Catherine, she's "done well" in the competition, but this time her photograph was "weak". But who stays in the competition? It's Alisha! Tyra says she has "the most high fashion look" in the competition... now she has to show it in a photo.
Catherine hugs Tyra goodbye and says she's happy she met her. For her part, Tyra advises her to "hold on" to her confidence: "Just pretend to be the queen... even if you don't feel like a princess."
"I am proud of myself," Catherine says later. "I wish I could have gone further. I've just got to pick myself up and keep going. I did give every photoshoot the best I could. The experience changed me, I learnt a lot, experienced a lot, and when I go home and continue my modelling I'll be able to use this in my career. It was amazing."
