'Bachelorette' Emily Maynard: 'I was hurt by Brad Womack's comment'

Emily Maynard has revealed that she was hurt by former Bachelor contestant Brad Womack's recent comments about their failed relationship.

The current Bachelorette star responded to Womack's comment that he'd "dodged a bullet" by not marrying her.



Maynard told Access Hollywood Live's Billy Bush and Kit Hoover: "I haven't heard from him since filming started... but I don't know.

"At first, my feelings were really hurt, because we left everything very civil and I've never said a bad word about him. But knowing Brad, he didn't mean it that way. That's what I'm going to say."

Womack - who proposed to 26-year-old Maynard on the season finale of The Bachelor in 2011 - said earlier this month that he has no interest in watching her choose a new man from 25 potential suitors.

"All I'll say is she is a hell of a woman," he said. "I hope it works out. I'm happy, I hope she's happy, so maybe we can do an interview after the finale and you can tell me what happened."

The Bachelorette airs on Mondays on ABC.
