The Ed Westwick teen drama pulled in 1.1m (0.6) last night, its best audience since February.
Hart of Dixie followed with 1.3m (0.6), also an improvement week-on-week for The CW.
Despite recording a season low, The Voice's 9.9m (3.6) between 8pm and 10pm was enough to win the night for NBC, while Smash (6m/1.9) continued its worrying decline.
With viewing down across the board, Dancing with the Stars slumped to its lowest ever rating of 16.3m (2.8) for ABC. At 10pm, Castle returned with 11.5m (2.2).
On Fox, Hugh Laurie's House climbed to 5.6m (2.0), prior to which 7m (2.1) watched Bones.
After last week's all-time low, Two and a Half Men rallied to 11m (3.7) for CBS. Fellow comedies How I Met Your Mother (7.3m/3.0), 2 Broke Girls (8.4m/3.3) and Mike & Molly (9.6m/3.1), however, all dipped to season lows.
