Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the singer praised the Fox series' selection of experienced musicians Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler to replace Cowell and Kara DioGuardi.
"I think that they picked seasoned veterans that… come from being no strangers to hard work and dedication and understand that this isn't a 'me too' business," she said. "It's not about being 'me too'. It's about really standing out on your own and being unique. And you know, if they have half of the amazing experience that I had then they're golden."
Abdul also refused to divulge if she would be joining Cowell on The X Factor USA.
She teased: "Inquiring minds want to know. We'll just have to see, won't we?"
