Who will head home tonight? Will it be the obvious choice, or will another shock result see an Idol favourite sent packing? Stick with Digital Spy live from 8/7c to find out!
20:58That's it for tonight. We're down to only six contestants now... who will be the next to go? Join us again next Wednesday, April 25, to see the Top 6 take the stage!

20:57Well, that was a bit of a shock! But fair enough - I do think he'll release a record at some point. We might not hear about it, but he will do something with himself. He's quite talented, even if he wasn't particularly my cup of tea.
20:57Right, it's time for the moment of truth. The person leaving tonight is... Colton! Wow, I'm shocked. Frankly, I'm shocked at the bottom two in general, but I have to admit - I'm really glad it wasn't Hollie. I think she's got a ton of potential. In the audience, Colton's sister (a repeat Idol hopeful herself) is extremely emotional in the audience, but the judges assure him that he has a huge career ahead of him.

> 'American Idol': Joshua Ledet, Elise Testone come last in reader poll
20:52However, it's time to move on - one person has to go. Luckily, it's not Elise! Could it possibly be Colton? If Hollie goes after having such a great night, it'll be a real injustice. Of course, we have to sit through an ad break before we find out!
20:51Jessica is safe, as is Phillip - that means Colton is in the bottom three, as predicted!
20:45Phillip Phillips, Colton Dixon and Jessica Sanchez finally get to hear their fates. Who will round out the final three? My guess is Colton, but you never quite know!

> Adele, LMFAO, Rihanna lead Billboard Music Awards nominees
20:37In the oddest segue I've heard in a long time ("These guys would have been great for American Bandstand!"), it's LMFAO's turn to perform. I'm not exactly sure what's happening - there are a lot of neon colours, some spandex-clad dancers, some inflatable zebras... this is apparently a "song", though I couldn't tell you which one. Oh, dear.
20:35Before we go any further, it's only fair that Idol pays tribute to the late Dick Clark, who passed away yesterday. He was an absolute legend, that's for sure!
20:31Yep, I was right - Elise heads to the bottom three yet again. This may just be her night to head home. Meanwhile, Skylar is safe. Good going, girl!
20:27Next to hear some results are Skylar Laine and Elise Testone. Hmm, this should be predictable. My guess is Elise is headed to the bottom. Am I right?

20:21Now it's Kris Allen's turn to debut 'The Vision of Love', the first single from his new album. Probably unsurprisingly, I'm not a fan.
20:16First to hear some results tonight are Hollie Cavanagh and Joshua Ledet. They join Ryan in the middle of the stage and find out that... Joshua is safe. UGH. What is WRONG with you people? He's awful! He will not sell records! Meanwhile, Hollie ends up in the bottom three. HOW is this the case? If I didn't have to cover this show, I'd change the channel right now. (Look at me, catching feelings over this competition like I don't know any better!)
20:10Who missed the Ford music videos all week? No-one? I thought so. This week, the group is observing themselves as constellations in a night sky. Yes, it's as bad as you think.

20:04Apparently, 53 million votes came in last night - the highest of the season! Still, too bad - someone's going home. But don't feel too downhearted, kiddies - former Idol winner Kris Allen will perform, as will LMFAO. Is LMFAO still relevant? Lord almighty.
Before we can get to that, though, why not treat ourselves to an uncomfortable performance of Martha and the Vandellas' 'Dancin' in the Street' by the Top 7?

20:01Well, hereeeeee we go! Who do you think will be going home tonight? I want it to be Joshua Ledet, but I don't think that'll happen! One way to find out!
