The rapper revealed that he'd be willing to serve as a judge on the show after hearing about Mariah Carey's $18 million deal for signing up, according to The Huffington Post.
"I'll do American Idol," Snoop Dogg said, before turning to his manager and jokingly telling him: "Get on it!"
The 40-year-old went on to promise that he would be sure to rein in his colourful personality for the family-friendly show, but added that he'd be unwilling to give up his marijuana habit.
"I'll clean my act up, but I'm still Rastafari," he said.
In June, Snoop Dogg was detained at a Norway airport for possession of 8 grams of pot.
